Meet Your Instructor: 

Hi BA 190 Students,

I thought I would tell you a little about myself.  I am originally from New York but have lived in California most of my life. I taught one year in New York, one year at Los Angeles High School and one year at Sunny Hills High School. I substitute taught in the high schools in the Huntington Beach Union High School District while my son and daughter were growing up. During that time I went back to school to get my Master's degree at Cal State Long Beach. That did take me several years. I began my college teaching at Centennial Education Center and after a few years came to Santa Ana College. I actually officially retired June 2010 but continue to teach part-time in the Business Applications Department. I still truly enjoy interacting with the students at SAC and learning new features of the software that I teach.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My daughter and her family live in Los Angeles so I see them often. They have two very active boys. My son and his family live outside of Boston, Massachusetts and they have three boys. I visit them a couple times a year and they come here several times. I also enjoy working in the garden and reading and have been trying to get to the gym on a regular basis.

I also enjoy traveling. Several summers ago my husband and I visited 5 exchange students we had hosted a number of years ago. The trip took us to Holland, Norway and Sweden. We have kept in touch with them over the years and enjoyed visiting with them and their families. Recently I spent 10 days in London which I enjoyed immensely.
