Course Description:  The student will apply spreadsheet theory and design to typical business related Excel projects. This course will expand student's knowledge of Excel concepts and techniques. Prepares student for Microsoft Excel Certification. Recommended experience with Excel.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Read, analyze, apply information needed to create Excel spreadsheets that are appropriate for the business environment 
  • Have the knowledge and ability to obtain a job or advance in a current job that requires the use of Microsoft Excel skills 
  • Relate information to others in accurate sequence, orally and in writing 
  • Become ethical users of computer skills including privacy and security issues

 

Meet Your Instructor:  Thao Nguyen

I have been working with Rancho Santiago Community College since 1990. I have a BA in Finance from Cal State University of Fullerton and an MBA in Business Management from National University. I am currently a Manager, Budget, Forecasting & Analysis. I have been an adjunct faculty since 1998.
