Course Description:  Spanish 102 employs a proficiency-oriented task based approach, designed to develop basic oral communicative abilities in Spanish.  In order to support these abilities, you will also be introduced to advanced beginning grammar as well as speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Textbook Information:  Puntos de Partida with Connect Plus Vol. 2 (10th Edition) by Dorwick, et al.

Additional Course Information:  This is a Spanish Hybrid-Online course that has five MANDATORY in-class meetings.  The meetings are set for Friday, 9/1, 9/22, 10/20, 11/17, and 12/8 from 4:00-6:30 p.m. in SAC D-302.

Students are required to register for the SAC Learning Center during the first week of classes on WebAdvisor in order to complete the Required Directed Learning Activities and meet with a tutor for assistance in the course.  On WebAdvisor go to:

Course Learning Objectives:  This course focuses on further training in language skills providing avenues for the expression of ideas orally and in writing.  Additional study of Hispanic culture.

Student Learning Objectives:  Students will communicate effectively in Spanish at the advanced beginning level while using basic vocabulary and applying grammatical structures correctly.
