My name is Barbara Spies. I am an artist and an art historian and teaching has become one of my passions. I relish the opportunity to introduce you to the concepts of art appreciation. My goal is to give you knowledge and the vocabulary to understand and appreciate art, whether it be Ancient or Modern; Chinese or South American; European or African and how art is made. It is a survey of world art that shows us how much we all have in common. A new take on the Silk Road.
