Course Objectives:
This course is designed for beginning and experienced computer users needing to build and update business technology skills to produce professional Excel worksheets. Learn proper techniques using current business standards to create, edit, format, export PDF, and print worksheets. Topics include insert images, graphics, charts, functions, and formulas. This course will prepare the student for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exam to earn an industry recognized certification
A student, upon completion of this course will:
- Demonstrate proficiency using Excel to develop worksheets and workbooks for professional projects using current business standards.
- Develop skills in performing calculations, formatting techniques, and visualizing data with charts.
- Organize, manage, sort, and analyze data using formulas, functions, and conditional formatting.
Required Technology:
To successfully complete this course, you will need to have access to Canvas via a computer with internet and Microsoft Excel (for Windows as formatting does not translate correctly across Mac or Google Sheets). For browsers, it is best to use Firefox, Safari, or a current version of Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.
