Meet Your Instructor:
Rachelle Vargas
Hi my name is Rachelle Vargas, and I have been in education for over 25 years. I have extensive experience working with children 3-12 years old. My journey began in Orange Unified School District as a Lead Teacher for the CARES after-school program; from there I became a School Readiness Coordinator overseeing our state preschool program, and then became the director of the Child Development Center. I have earned my BA in Child Development at Ashford University, and then went on to earn my Masters in Education with a specialization in Family and Community. I’m a member of NAEYC, I’m involved in the Quality Start OC with the Orange County Department of Education, and I am a Professional Growth Advisor. I am also a proud mother of two grown college-age daughters. My daughters have graduated college, CSUF & CSUDH, one is working towards her Masters to become an Occupational Therapist, and my younger daughter is a 3rd grade teacher. I am enthusiastic about Child Development, and can't wait to share my experience in the classroom. :)
