Course Description:
This course offers an introduction to basic algebra concepts, math vocabulary, and algebraic operations. This course is intended to be a bridge from basic arithmetic to elementary algebra.

Prerequisite:
Math N05 or N06 (C or better) or equivalent skills (as measured by the Math Level I Exam) and a course equivalent to Math N05 or N06.
Student Learning Objectives:
Students will be able to perform arithmetic operations with rational numbers; solve and check linear equations; translate English sentences to algebraic equations and solve basic word problems; find slopes and graph equations of lines; perform operations on polynomials; and factor polynomials.
