Course Description: This course presents an overview of knowledge and skills needed to provide developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children. Students will examine the teacher's role in supporting development, fostering the joy of learning and creativity through the essential role of play. Content areas include language/literacy, social/emotional/sensory learning, art, music, math, science, health/safety, and motor development.
