Meet Your Instructor:  [Hi! I am your professor, Marissa Elliott. This is my 5th semester teaching at SAC. I am excited and eager to learn and grow with you as students. By the end of the course, I hope you leave as better readers and writers than when you walked in!]

Course Description:  [English 101 is a study of writing. We will learn how to competently write, but also how to connect our writing to reading. By the end of the course you will have mastered the art of research and research writing.]

Textbook Information:  [A large portion of the semester we will use The Brief Bedford Reader: Thirteenth Edition. We will also read one novel, The Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle]
