Course Description:  This course is an introduction to the theory and practice of small group communication. Students will understand the nature of small groups, factors influencing communication in groups (Diversity, group size, technology, etc.), and small group decision-making.

Student Learning Objectives:  

  • Students will learn prominent theories in the field of Small Group Communication.
  • Students will understand the process of communication within small groups.

  • Students will learn to work more effectively in groups (collaborating, problem-solving, and making decisions).
