IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER - PLEASE READ!
Playwrights and screenwriters create characters based on human beings – on people from every conceivable socio-economic, ethnic, and gender category. Writers place these characters in highly dramatic and often dysfunctional relationships and scenarios. Consequently, acting students will sometimes be faced with controversial subject matter, characters, situations, and language. Please maintain an open mind when discussing and viewing materials. Everything presented must be approved by the instructor prior to presentation and alternative assignments are strictly at the discretion of the instructor.
