Course Description: This course is a study of textile fibers and fabrics, their production/development, environmental impact, selection, use and care of wearing apparel and home furnishings. The course also covers current and future textile production and how appropriate performance characteristics are incorporated into materials and products.

Additional Course Information: This is a hybrid class. We will meet in room T-201 from 10-1 on Tuesdays
Course Learning Objectives: Through a series of in class textile experiments, textbook readings, and online discussions, we will learn the general categories of fabrics, predict fabric performance, and understand the proper care and use of textiles.
Student Learning Objectives: Students will be able to predict fabric performance through experimentation and comparison of fiber/fabric properties.
