Prerequisites: Mathematics 180 or 180H, first semester calculus, with a grade of C or better.
Required Materials/Text: This class use Open Educational Resources (OER).

- Cover: Chapters 2, 3, 4, 7, 5, 6 in that order.
- Calculator Use: TI Graphing calculator or any other graphing utility is not required for the course. If you own one, feel free to use it on the HW. However, most of the exams will be done without a calculator.
Course Description:
- Math 185 is the second semester of three in the calculus and analytical geometry sequence.
- Applications of integrals, including volumes, work, arc length, and surface area.
- Integration techniques, differential equations, conics, parametric equations, polar coordinates, improper integrals, sequences and infinite series.
Student Learning Outcomes: By the end of the probability unit, students will be able to
- Utilize various integration techniques in applications including finding volumes, work, arc length and surface area, solving differential equations and evaluating improper integrals.
- Identify the conic sections and their properties, and perform calculus operations on polar and parametric curves, and determine the convergence of infinite sequences and series.
