Engineering 100A: Introduction to Engineering Syllabus
Course Description: Introduction to major fields of Engineering (including mechanical, electrical, industrial, biomedical, aerospace, and others.) Includes an overview of academic programs, career information and preparation requirements, virtual or in person field trips, projects, and guest speakers.
Textbook Information: A Road Map to a Rewarding Career, Raymond Landis, 4th Edition, Discovery Press, 2013.
Student Learning Objectives: Students will develop knowledge & skills necessary to select and develop engineering careers.
Instructor Bio/Information: My name is Khoa Le, I have worked at Santa Ana College since 2013 as an adjunct faculty in the Engineering department. I have taught Eng100A, and Eng122/125, but most of my time has been teaching Eng100A. My background is in Mechanical Engineering with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC-Irvine and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from CSU-Fullerton. In turn, I have been working in industry since 2003 and I am also certified by the state of California as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering.
