Meet Your Instructor: Hello class its nice to have everyone! This class will be an exciting course filled with hands-on labs and other materials. A little bit of myself, I started in the industry as a DBA and switched careers to become an instructor and never have regretted it. I love meeting students and changing there lives for the better. I am here to ensure that you meet your goals! Remember, it does not matter where you start in life but where you end.
Course Description:
This course is an introduction to computing concepts, technology, issues and applications.
We will explore types of computing technology and their impacts on individuals and society. Students will also learn the fundamentals of Internet research, E-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, database and Internet Web page publishing software using a personal computer.
Successful students will:
- Develop problem solving skills employing pattern recognition, transfer of learning and the ability to evaluate choices among solution techniques.
- Recognize when additional information is needed and obtain that material through researching outside sources.
