COURSE OVERVIEW:

 

1.              TESTS:               

CLASS 2:  QUIZ AT BEGINNING OF CLASS COVERING CLASS 1;

CLASS 3:  QUIZ AT BEGINNING OF CLASS COVERING CLASS 2;

CLASS 4:  FINAL EXAMINATION AT END OF CLASS COVERING CLASSES 1-4

 

2.              GRADING:         PARTICIPATION: 10%; ASSIGNMENT: 10%

                              QUIZZES [20 % EACH] X2; FINAL EXAM 40%

3.              SPECIAL NEEDS:  Santa Ana College is eager to accommodate students with disabilities. It is the responsibility of the student to inform the instructor of any special needs in a timely manner.

 

Attendance and Absences

I. Attendance:    You are expected to attend all class sessions. College policy states that a student may be dropped for nonattendance.

Students are responsiblefor officially withdrawing from classes they do not plan to complete. Under extenuating circumstances, a student may be reinstated by contacting the instructor. Extenuating circumstances include verified cases of accident, illness, and death in the family and other conditions that are beyond the student’s control.

II.        Absences:   You are not permitted to miss more than 1 class because this is a 4 week session. Because of enrollment demand, students will be dropped when they do not appear for the first class meeting. A student will not receive credit and will be dropped for missing more than one class. It is your responsibility to check the class schedule for important dates regarding holidays and drop dates. If you attend the first class and then miss the next two, you will receive likely receive a failing grade as the deadline to drop will have passed. If you must be absent from class, it is your responsibility to get class notes, handouts, and directions. It is also your responsibility to drop the class by the posted deadline.

 

 

 

 

 

Honesty/Integrity Policy

A student found cheating on any exam will receive no credit (i.e., no grade) for that exam. A second instance of cheating will result in a failing grade and the student will not be allowed to drop and receive a W for the course.

 

Pagers/Cells/Etc.

To insure consideration for all participants in our class, please turn off or set to vibrate all pagers, cell phones, and other electronic equipment while you are in the classroom. We will have breaks during which you may communicate with the outside world. If you are on-call for any emergency, please let the instructor know before class.

Global Marketing

 

Task:Develop and implement the global marketing plan. After analysis of market research, select products and markets to be targeted.

 

Knowledge of laws and regulations that impact the market selection (e.g., entity laws, promotional restrictions, distributor requirements).

 

Supply Chain Management

 

Task:Coordinate the documents required for international movement of products and services.

  • Knowledge of US legal and regulatory requirements regarding documentation for goods/services (e.g., export/import control regulations, export declaration).
  • Knowledge of US export regulations for involved countries.
