Course Description

Spanish 101 employs a proficiency-oriented, task-based approach, designed to develop 
basic oral communicative abilities in Spanish. In order to support these abilities, you will
also be introduced to beginning grammar as well as speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Textbook Information  

1) Puntos de Partida with Connect PLUS Vol. 1, 10th Edition by Marty Knorre et al. 
(You must have your books at all times). You will not be allowed in the classroom
without your textbook; laptop or notepad with E-book. You may not use your cell phones
to access your E-books.


Student Learning Objectives

*  Communicate effectively in Spanish at the beginning level while using basic vocabulary 
and applying simple grammatical structures.


*  Utilize appropriate pronunciation and review key vocabulary related to specific work area.

*  Learn basic sentence structure in order to use appropriate vocabulary.
