Course Description: Business 106 is a culture and international business class that provides a cultural orientation to the different business cultures around the world. It also introduces you to global economies. My goal is excite you about the different ways business is done globally and to ground you in the current economic realities of different countries. Once you know about the basic dimensions of culture you can apply those dimensions to whatever country you do business with. Once you learn about the impact of the “world economy” you will be able to follow it yourself and adjust and change your behavior as needed. Even if you never travel outside of the United States you are part of the global economy. You buy goods made all over the world and whatever business you are in is affected by what goes on in other countries. We will also try and have some fun learning about the world.
