Spanish 101

Course Description:  Spanish 101 employs a proficiency-oriented task based approach, designed to develop basic oral communicative abilities in Spanish.  In order to support these abilities, you will also be introduced to beginning grammar as well as speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Textbook Information: Puntos de Partida with Connect Plus Vol. 1 (10th Edition) by Dorwick, et al.

Course Learning Objectives:  Practice and integration of pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, common idioms, listening, speaking, reading, and writing techniques for the expression of ideas orally and in writing.  Introduction to Hispanic culture.

Student Learning Objectives:  Students will communicate effectively in Spanish at the beginning level while using basic vocabulary and applying simple grammatical structures.
