Meet Your Instructor:  Hello students, I have been in the field of Education since 1985. I first went to school to be a PE teacher and got my Bachelor's degree in Brazil where I taught from elementary to high school. When I moved to the states I started working with young children and fell in love with the age group. Went back to school a few years later and received a Master's degree in Education with Emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I have taught in the classroom from infants to Pre-K for 15 years  before I decided to go into administration by purchasing our first childcare center/preschool in 2001. Today, our team of administrators runs two schools and with our fantastic educators, we serve over 200 families each year. I am passionate about education and love to partner with parents in the exciting endeavor of raising children. I have been a wife for 25 years and a mother of two wonderful girls. 

Course Description: This course introduces early learning educators to basic math, natural and physical science principals and standards to assist meeting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) requirements in preschool. We will explore the fields of Math and Science and collect valuable tools for teaching and training in the Early Childhood field.
