COURSE DESCRIPTION
Business 100 is a fundamental of business course that includes a survey of marketing, management, production, accounting, finance and economics and how they interrelate in the global business environment that exists today.
COURSE GOALS/OBJECTIVES
Assist the students in obtaining an understanding of business concepts in order to establish a foundation of business knowledge. The course objectives include:
- Define & evaluate the different forms of business ownership.
- Describe marketing techniques & strategies used in business.
- Demonstrate understanding of various business management styles.
- Demonstrate understanding of the role of ethics in business.
- Demonstrate understanding of the legal environment and its effects on business.
- Describe the role of finance & accounting in business management.
- Describe the role of business in the social context.
- To help you succeed in business and in life.
- To help you understand yourself and other people better.
