Meet Your Instructor: Your instructor, George Habicht has been part of the adjunct faculty at Santa Ana College for the past 20 years. He was also an instructor at California State University, Fullerton for 15 years. Prior to being an instructor he worked in Information Technology in the Aerospace industry for 26 years. He is currently a consultant specializing in the implementation of Microsoft Office tools in small businesses and individual departments in larger enterprises.

Course Description: This course is an introduction to computers and their relationship to today's information society. It examines a broad overview of topics including: hardware, software, networking, information technology, and the Internet. The student will explore the implication and effect of technology on society, careers, and ethics. In addition students will become familiar with the basic capabilities of the Microsoft Office tools through hands-on computer based lab assignments.
Textbook Information: There are 2 textbooks required for this course; a "Microsoft Office" textbook and a "Discovering Computers" textbook.

The "Microsoft Office" book must be this version:
