Meet Your Instructor:  Hi. I'm Professor Glenn Doolittle.  Here is some information about me.

I teach various business classes at Santa Ana College - Bus. 100, Intro to Business, Bus. 105, Legal Environment of Business, Ent. 100, Introduction to Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Bus. 106 Culture and International Business.  I teach Bus. 105 and Bus. 100 in class, and Bus. 100, Entr. 100 and Bus. 106 online.  I also teach Entr. 120, Intro to Freelancing and Entr. 125, Launch Your Freelance Business in our freelancer program.  Entr. 120 and Entr. 125 are both online. Our freelancer classes are only offered the fall semester of every year.

I was originally hired 21 years ago to create an International Business program at SAC.  We now have the largest and most successful international business program at a community college in the United States.  A number of SAC students have taken and passed a national exam (CGBP) for competency in international trade. See the video link below for more information on the SAC International Business program.

I also created the freelancer program at SAC.  I also work as the Faculty Liaison for Entrepreneurship and Small Business for the Orange County Deputy Sector Navigator, and therefore work with community college faculty in Orange County to create entrepreneur programs.  I also work with the DSN for Global Trade.

I work with faculty outside the Business Division.  I work with faculty in theatre arts, dance, personal training, TV production and fashion design and merchandising to integrate business and entrepreneur skills into their programs.

I recently had a grant on how to use open education resources, videos and web articles, to replace college textbooks.

I have been writing a book on how to be BRILLIANsince 2008 and I now use chapters from the book in my classes.  If you would like to see my BRILLIANT, the second link below is to my Twitter profile and home page.

Before SAC I owned an international trading company and lived and worked in Indonesia.  I have taught in MBA programs and law schools. From 1981 to 1996 I was a business attorney. I have owned and managed several law firms.  I have also been the managing partner of some real estate limited partnerships.

In college I majored in English Literature at the University of Texas. I also studied film production in London.   I went to law school at the University of Georgia.

When I was growing up, my dad was in the military, so I moved around a lot within the United States. I have travelled to 18 countries and enjoy that very much  -  Mexico, Canada, Cuba, England, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, South Africa, Japan, Indonesia, India, China and  Singapore. I don't speak any other languages fluently, but I really enjoy different cultures.

I have two daughters, five grandchildren and a great wife. I like sports especially the Lakers and Texas Longhorns.

I like art, hiking and playing the guitar.

 Take care

 Prof. Doolittle
