Sherod has enhanced her courses with the online Learning Management System (LMS) software used by SAC. Sherod wrote a proposal for a grant for curriculum improvement in Summer of 2001 and was awarded a grant to develop one of the classes as 100% online which was the first such course available in the engineering department. This course, ENGR 142, included lecture and lab components all online, but with an in person final exam requirement that at the same time allowed for proctoring for the in person final exam. Sherod has also contributed to the development of a tech-prep website for the SAC Engineering Department.
