Course Description:

In this introduction to literature, you will learn to analyze and interpret literary works. Specifically, you will learn to think both creatively and critically about literature, applying a number of critical approaches to the three main genre: poetry, prose, and plays. Throughout the term, you will continue to hone your reading and writing skills as you explore important themes such as family relationships, crime and justice, and freedom and confinement. It is my hope that this course will awaken a greater appreciation for literature and a deeper understanding of human nature.
