Meet Your Instructor: I have my B.S. in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and my M.S. in Biochemistry from California State University, Long Beach. I have been teaching at Santa Ana College for about six years. I have been certified to teach online at Santa Ana College as well as in the use of Canvas.
Course Description:
Chemistry 109 is a one semester course designed to introduce the fundamentals of chemistry to the non-science major. The primary focus of the course will be to provide students with a better understanding of consumer and environmental issues as they relate to chemistry. An emphasis will be placed on chemistry-related current events as well as the chemistry of common consumer products.
Textbook Information: This is an OER class so there is no textbook required

Course/Student Learning Objectives:
