Hello,

 I'm excited you are taking my online Introductory Psychology course. The course is now available through Canvas (https://rsccd.instructure.com/) learning management system. If you are familiar with Canvas you can login now and start accessing course content. If you are not familiar with Canvas,  the instructions of how to login there is a video in the "Course Information" on how to navigate Canvas. You will need your Santa Ana College Webadivsor username and password to access Canvas.  If you have technical problems logging into Canvas please contact the Distance Education Office at sac_disted@sac.edu or call (714) 564-6725.Once logged into Canvas access my course which is listed under the “Courses” area.

      1. Go the “syllabus” link and read the syllabus to get an overview of what is required for this class.
      2. At this point you may begin with the class by going to “Modules 1”.

 COURSE OBJECTIVES

  1. Demonstrate familiarity with the major concepts, theoretical perspectives, research methods, core empirical findings, and historic trends in psychology.
  2. Recognize and understand the impact of diversity on psychological research, theory and application, including (but not limited to): age, race, ethnicity, culture, gender, socio-economic status, disability, and sexual orientation.
  3. Understand and apply psychological principles to personal experience and social and organizational settings. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and information competence as applied to psychological topics.
