SAC offers free virtual (online) tutoring services to all Online & Hybrid course students using NetTutor, which can be accessed directly in this course!

NetTutor offers one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions to students with professional, highly-trained tutors. Net Tutor includes a Question Center which allows students to privately post questions and receive personalized answers from a tutor within 24-hours, in a variety of subjects including (but not limited to) Accounting, Algebra, Basic Math, Precalculus, Calculus, Composition (Papers), Economics, and Statistics. Tutoring in Spanish is also available for some subjects.

Review the Net Tutor Quick Start document and the videos below for step-by-step instructions on how to access online tutoring and to use the World Wide Whiteboard to participate in your tutoring session. For more in-depth and detailed instruction on using Net Tutor, read the Net Tutor User Manual.

Prepare for your session:

Have your questions, textbook, course material, and work readily available.
If you are receiving tutoring on a specific assignment, have the PDF file ready to be uploaded onto the World Wide Whiteboard. Files to be used in a tutoring session must be PDF; Word documents cannot be accepted.
Ensure you have a microphone or a headset with a microphone to be used with your computer. This will allow you to communicate with your tutor. A webcam is optional, but recommended.
Ensure that both devices are working on the computer prior to starting your online tutoring session.

To access NetTutor:

Click Access NetTutor
On the NetTutor home page, click on the subject you want to receive tutoring for. (Even if your course subject is not listed, you can always get assistance for any writing assignment by clicking the NetTutor Composition Tutor link.)
Click on the NetTutor User Agreement the first time you use the system

NetTutor does not require you to schedule an appointment, you can just "drop in" online for a live, one-on-one tutoring session.
